Rebuild: What it involves
Rebuilding an engine requires more than a few simple steps, as you would expect. It starts with disassembly, to be able to properly identify what is causing the problems. All parts of the engine will be cleaned and inspected, including cylinder heads, camshaft, timing chain, and pistons. Whichever parts are found to be damaged or faulty will be replaced or refurbished, only replacing major parts when absolutely necessary.
